Kansas Wine Lovers Are Loyal To “The Good Life”

WICHITA, KANSAS—Midwesterners love good food, California wine, and “The Good Life” as is evidenced by the longevity of host Guy Bower’s radio program of the same name. Broadcast over KNSS Newsradio 1330, the program reaches an affluent and engaged audience.
KNSS is the #1 Newstalk station in Wichita and has a weekly following of between 15,000 and 20,000 listeners.
Over the years, Bower’s frequent visits to California wine country have made him, not only a West Coast wine aficionado, but also a Wichita institution. He is pictured above during one of his regular on-air interviews.
Last Saturday, October 29, 2011, Bower’s featured guest was wine travel insider Tom Silberkleit, award-winning publisher from Wine House Press in Sonoma, California.
You’re invited to listen-in to their casual conversation as the two discuss Silberkleit’s editorial background, the most compelling parts of a wine tasting holiday, and why his series, The California Directory of Fine Wineries, has become one of the most popular wine travel books in California.
The books are available locally at Watermark Books in Wichita, or through Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com.
